School Construction Bond Updates

Thank you, voters!
 

 


In February 2026, University Place voters approved a bond measure to replace Sunset Primary School, replace Chambers Primary School, and renovate Curtis High School.  The buildings are more than 50 years old and nearing the end of their useful life. 

New facilities at all three schools will open in Fall 2031. 

Follow along as we make progress on these new school buildings.

Design & Planning: May 2026 to Summer 2028
Construction: Begins Summer 2028 (Curtis High School will remain open during construction)

Grand Opening: Fall 2031
