Cornerstone General Contractors Joins the CHS Design Team

The district recently selected Cornerstone General Contractors for General Contractor / Construction Management (GC/CM) services for the Curtis High School bond project. Cornerstone brings a wealth of experience working as a GC/CM on phased, occupied, high school campuses. Cornerstone emerged as our top choice from a large pool of excellent contractors after a thorough selection process that included a review of their Statement of Qualifications (SOQ), an in-person interview, and a public bid opening outlining their fee for the project.
As our GC/CM, Cornerstone will work closely with the district, Bassetti Architects and other partners to design, plan and build a new Curtis High School. The GC/CM process brings together project owners, architects and builders very early in the design process. This early collaboration leads to better decision-making. Contributions by the general contractor during design include valuable insights into staging, materials, fiscal impacts of design decisions, timeline, phasing of construction, and other critical items to ensure that our buildings remain completely operational throughout the construction process.
Cornerstone has extensive K-12 construction experience and we are excited for them to join our team.
